| GDP  Exports  Unemployment Rate  Retail Sales  | 遏抑物業投機新措施 政府將在現有的從價印花稅之上，引入一項在物業轉售時適用的「額外印花稅」，適用於在2010年11月20日或以後購入，並在購入後24個月或以內轉售的任何價值的住宅物業，以遏抑住宅物業投機。有關交易應繳的「額外印花稅」按不同的物業持有期分為三級逆進稅率： （i）假若有關物業持有六個月或以內，稅率為15%； （ii）假若有關物業持有超過六個月但在十二個月或以內，稅率為10%；以及 （iii）假若有關物業持有超過十二個月但在二十四個月或以內，稅率為5%； New anti-property speculation measures unveiled In order to curb speculation, the Government is introducing a Special Stamp Duty (SSD) on residential properties of all values at the point of resale if the properties are acquired on or after 20 November 2010 and resold within 24 months after acquisition. The SSD will have three levels of regressive rates, based on the holding periods: (i) 15% if the property has been held for six months or less; (ii) 10% if the property has been held for more than six months but less than or equal to 12 months; and (iii) 5% if the property has been held for more than 12 months but less than or equal to 24 months; 按揭貸款的新措施 香港金融管理局就物業按揭貸款業務向銀行發出指引，要求銀行採取下列措施加強物業按揭貸款業務的風險管理： 一: 所有價值港幣1,200萬或以上住宅物業的按揭貸款最高成數從6成下調至5成。 二: 所有價值港幣1,200萬以下至港幣800萬之間的住宅物業的按揭貸款最高成數從7成下調至6成，但貸款額不可超過港幣600萬。 三: 所有價值在港幣800萬以下的住宅物業按揭貸款最高成數則維持在7成，但貸款額不可超過港幣480萬。 四: 所有非自住的住宅物業、所有以公司名義持有的物業和所有工商物業的按揭，不論物業的價值，貸款最高成數一律下調至5成。 New measures for mortgage lending The Hong Kong Monetary Authority issued a circular to the banks requiring them to implement the following measures to strengthen risk management in the residential mortgage lending business: 1. Lower the maximum loan-to-value (LTV) ratio for residential properties valued at HK$12 million or above from 60% to 50%. 2. Lower the maximum LTV ratio for residential properties valued at or above HK$8 million and below HK$12 million from 70% to 60%, but the maximum loan amount will be capped at HK$6 million. 3. Maintain the maximum LTV ratio for residential properties with a value below HK$8 million at 70%, but the maximum loan amount will be capped at HK$4.8 million. 4. Lower the maximum LTV ratio for all non-owner-occupied residential properties, properties held by a company, and industrial and commercial properties to 50%, regardless of the property value. Economic Statistics 2010年10月份對外商品貿易統計 繼2010年9月份錄得24.1%的按年升幅後，10月份的商品整體出口貨值為港幣2,742億，較2009年同月上升13.9%。同時，繼2010年9月份錄得19.5%的按年升幅後，10月份商品進口貨值為港幣2,964億，較上一年同月上升14%。 External merchandise trade statistics for October 2010 According to the Census and Statistics Department, the value of total exports of goods in October 2010 increased by 13.9% over a year earlier to HK$274.2 billion, after a y-o-y increase of 24.1% in September 2010. The value of imports of goods increased by 14.0% over a year earlier to $296.4 billion in October 2010, after a y-o-y increase of 19.5% in September 2010. 2010年10月份消費物價指數 政府統計處公布2010年10月份的整體消費物價與一年前同月比較，上升2.6%，與9月份的相應升幅相同。在10月份錄得最大的按年升幅類別為電力、燃氣及水(上升15.7%)，主要是由於部分住戶已用完政府所提供的一次性電費補貼。 Consumer Price Indices for October 2010 The Census and Statistics Department announced that overall consumer prices rose by 2.6% in October 2010 over October 2009, the same increase as in September. The largest y-o-y increase in prices was electricity, gas and water (up 15.7%), mainly because some households had used up the full amount of the Government's one-off electricity charge subsidy. Property Statistics 2010年10月份屋宇署統計數字 屋宇署10月共批出34份建築圖則，涉及20項住宅及商住發展、4項商業發展、2項工廠及工業發展。其中和記黃埔地產旗下4個位於山頂及南區的住宅項目，獲批建共10幢洋房，涉及總樓面40,662平方呎。 Buildings Department data for October 2010 The Buildings Department approved 34 building plans in October. Of the approved plans, 20 were for apartment and apartment/commercial developments, four were for commercial developments, and two were for factory and industrial developments. These include the approval of the building plans for Hutchison Whampoa Property's four residential projects in the Peak and the Southern District, involving 10 houses with a total GFA of 40,662 sf. |

| GDP  Exports  Unemployment Rate  Retail Sales  | Economic Statistics 10月失業率降至492% 根據主計處公布最新數據，台灣10月份失業率較上月減少0.13個百分點，降至4.92%，達兩年來新低。10月失業人數總計54萬6千人，相較上月減少1萬4千人，其中因工作場所業務緊縮或歇業而失業者減少9千人。主計處數據顯示，與去年同期相比，今年10月失業率下降1.04個百分點，失業人數共減少10萬7千人。 October unemployment rate drops to 4.92% According to the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS), Taiwan's jobless rate fell by 0.13 of a percentage point to 4.92% in October 2010 from the previous month, reaching a two-year low. A total of 546,000 people were out of work this month, down by 14,000 from September 2010. In addition, the number of those who lost their jobs due to downsizing or business closure decreased by 9,000 from last month. When compared with figures for the same period in 2009, the total number of unemployed people this October decreased by 107,000, leading to a fall of 104 basis points y-o-y in the unemployment rate. 10月零售業營業額年成長7.1% 根據經濟部公布最新統計結果，今年10月零售業營業額為新台幣3,080億元（101億美元）較去年同期增加7.1%。零售業各業別中，以汽機車及其零組件用品業年成長17.1%最多，綜合商品零售業增加9.1%次之。此外，10月餐飲與批發業營業額分別較去年成長12%及8.1%。本月份零售、批發及餐飲業營業額總計達新台幣1兆2,111億元（395億美元），為1999年創編以來單月新高。 Retail sales rise 7.1% y-o-y in October According to the latest figures released by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan's retail sector posted an annual growth rate of 7.1% in October 2010 with total sales reaching NT$308 billion (US$10.1 billion). Among retail industries, automobiles, motorcycles and related parts reported the largest y-o-y increase of 17.1% in sales during October, followed by general merchandise stores attaining a 9.1% y-o-y growth. Over the same period, the sales revenue of the F&B and wholesale sectors grew 12% and 8.1% y-o-y, respectively. The combined revenues of the retail, F&B and wholesale sectors reached a record high of NT$1,211.1 billion (US$39.5 billion) in October 2010, the largest amount since the survey began in 1999. Property Markets and Transactions 宏達電新台幣4.04億元買台北縣廠辦 宏達國際電子近日公告，以新台幣4.04億元（1,320萬美元），自威盛電子手中買進位於台北縣新店市的技嘉大樓部份樓層，樓層面積總計約1,140坪（3,769平方米）。宏達電表示，本次購入標的將作為研發辦公室使用，以舒緩新店現有辦公空間不足的壓力。 HTC buys I/O property in Taipei County for NT$404 million HTC Corporation purchased strata-titled floors of the Gigabyte Building from VIA Technologies for NT$404 million (US$13.2 million) to expand its currently inadequate office space in Xindian. The transacted property is situated in Xindian City, Taipei County, and has a total floor area of 1,140 ping (3,769 sm). According to the company's announcement, HTC plans to locate its research and development office in this building. |

| GDP  Exports  Unemployment Rate  Retail Sales  | Economic Statistics 2010年10月消費物價指數 統計暨普查局資料顯示，今年10月綜合消費物價指數（105.1）按年上升4%，升幅主要由食物及非酒精飲品、雜項商品及服務和衣履所帶動。 Consumer Price Index for October 2010 Statistics and Census Service data indicated that the Composite CPI (105.1) for October 2010 increased by 4% y-o-y, attributable to price increases in Food & Non-Alcoholic Beverages, Miscellaneous Goods & Services, and Clothing & Footwear. 2010年第三季零售業銷售額 統計暨普查局資料顯示，今年第3季零售業銷售額為75億澳門元，按年大幅上升35%。第3季的零售業銷貨量按年上升25%，以皮具製品 (+71%)的按年升幅最顯著。 Retail sales in the third quarter 2010 According to the Statistics and Census Service, the value of retail sales for the third quarter of 2010 amounted to MOP 7.5 billion, a notable increase of 35% y-o-y. The volume of retail sales for the quarter rose by 25% y-o-y, with a particularly remarkable increase observed in the sales volume of Leather Goods (+71% y-o-y). 2010年10月入境旅客 統計暨普查局的資料顯示，今年10月入境的旅客總數為2,092,343人次，按年增加7.5%。中國大陸旅客有1,124,061人次(佔旅客總數53.7%)，較去年同月增加6.7%；其中以個人遊方式來澳的有479,516人次，按年上升3.9%。 Visitor Arrivals for October 2010 Information from the Statistics and Census Service indicated that total visitor arrivals rose by 7.5% y-o-y to 2,092,343 in October 2010. Visitors from Mainland China increased by 6.7% y-o-y to 1,124,061 (53.7% of total), with 479,516 travelling to Macau under the Individual Visit Scheme, up by 3.9% from October 2009. |
